‘SAHTAYN,’ A DINNER EXPERIENCE PRESENTING INSPIRATIONS FROM A RECENT CULINARY EXPLORATION OF LEBANON

Hiking through the Chouf Mountains, breaking bread in family homes, touring spice markets and cooking with local chefs in loved restaurants on a recent shared journey across Lebanon was a life-changing experience for Chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley (Executive Chef, St. Anselm) and Chef Michael Rafidi (Chef/Owner, Albi - opening this fall). The nine-day trip, led by a mutual friend and fellow chef, immersed the Chefs Meek-Bradley and Rafidi in Lebanon’s cuisine, from its modern presentations to its rich cultural roots. The two chefs will showcase impactful inspirations from their trip at Sahtayn, a collaborative dinner presenting Lebanese spices, techniques and stories.
