Downtown D.C. comes alive this September as Usan Usan, the creative force behind Umbrella Art Fair and Redeye Night Market, partners with the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) to launch an exciting month-long cultural celebration.
Thursday Night Out will transform outdoor venues across downtown every Thursday in September from 5–10 PM with live DJ sets, curated markets, food and drink specials, and community energy. Guests can also unlock exclusive BOGO restaurant deals at neighborhood favorites like Carmine’s, Daikaya Izakaya, Jaleo, Chaia, Kata DC, Lucky Danger, and more through experience partner Bandwango.
In addition, Usan Usan presents two brand-new art events at Gallery Space @ Gallery Place:
Friends of Usan Exhibition (Sept. 12–14): A three-day pop-up featuring over 100 works by more than 50 local artists, including a lively Art All Night program with DJ sets.
Umbrella Photo Fair (Sept. 26–28): A showcase of 30+ photographers pushing creative boundaries, with an opening party on Sept. 26 featuring DJ Mathias.
Both Friends of Usan and Umbrella Photo Fair continue Usan Usan’s mission of supporting artists directly—taking no participation fees or commissions, ensuring 100% of sales go to the creators.
