Barca Pier and Wine Bar has opened in Old Town Alexandria, atop a pair of industrial freight containers that float on the Potomac River. At Barca, Executive Chef Bryant Haren and Corporate Chef Bradon Whitestone have designed the lunch and dinner menus to feature 16 small plates that range in price from $8.00 to $18.00 that feature Mediterranean touches. Guests can enjoy dishes such as sauteed calamari, garlicky tzaziki, stuffed piquillo peppers, and more. Wines are available by the bottle and by the glass. The Pier menu features four miniature sandwiches that incorporate spanish ingredients. Barca Pier can hold 210 guests at full capacity and 65 guests at the wine bar. The pier is open daily from 11:30 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. (midnight on the weekends) and the wine bar is open weekdays from 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. (midnight on Fridays).
