For those who partied a little too hard the night before, Jack Rose is hosting a Hangover Hog Roast, just in time for when people start rolling out of bed. Hosted on the heated rooftop terrace, the non-ticketed/open to the public event will feature a complimentary WhistlePig whiskey tasting, hangover-friendly “Pig Plates” of pork and Southern sides, discounted whiskey flights, cocktail and beer specials and a complimentary whiskey toast. Guests in need of a little morning-after sustenance can enjoy plates of pulled pork, Hoppin’ John, collard greens and poblano cornbread for just $15 all afternoon. WhistlePig Brand Ambassador Brianna Savage will pour free tastes of the 10yr, 15yr and Old World releases, while two discounted WhistlePig whiskey flights will also be available, featuring both approachable and rare releases. Flights include the “Pigging Out” ($125, regularly $155) featuring WhistlePig Boss Hog 3rd Edition “The Independent”, WhistlePig 5th Edition “Spirit of Mauve” and WhistlePig 11yr, 111 proof; and the “Half Smoked”($45, regularly $57) featuring WhistlePig 10yr, WhistlePig 15yr and WhistlePig Old World. Other hog roast specials include $10 WhistlePig cocktails, $5 draft beers from The Bruery, and half-priced sliders, chili and wings. The bar will also play the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl on its four large flat screen TVs.
