Where:
Serenata
1280 4th Street NE
Afro-Latin owned bar, Serenata, is responding to calls to action by Black Lives Matter and partnering up with renowned local chefs and mixologists creating pop-ups throughout the month of June.  From a curated vegan dinner, to a virtual bake sale, the team is honored to be contributing to this cause by donating a percentage of the profits to an array of charities fighting against racism in America. Serenata’s Beverage Director and partner, Andra (AJ) Johnson, is mobilizing and activating black bartenders and culinary professionals to show solidarity and continued support of black activism to end racial injustice in America.  The pop-up, Back to Black, will bring together a symphony of the best mixologists in the nation’s capital including Kapri Robinson (Chocolate City’s Best), Richard Sterling (Thamee), and Frank Mills (Roy Boys) each creating a signature cocktail that distills the story of their personal journey. Each cocktail holds 2-3 servings and is priced at $20.00.  Proceeds from these drinks go directly to the bartender’s charity of choice supporting the fight against racism.  Learn more here.
