Swahili Village, a Maryland-based East African concept, will be moving their digs to The District. Located in the former Honeysuckle venue, this restaurant will still be serving up authentic African cuisine like their Samaki Mchuzi, Pilau, and Plantain; which is a dish that boasts a whole deep fried tilapia with Masala sauce. Kevin Onyona, current chef and owner, has rebranded the concept with a new title and location as homage to Swahili Village clientele of African diplomats.
