After numerous pop ups, Patrick Coyne has found a permanent storefront for his dumpling company, Laoban Dumplings, in Foggy Bottom, which is expected to open in the next couple of months. Coyne finds that the space, formerly Bertucci’s grab-and-go counter, is similar to a dumpling shop in China. The small space will have six-to-eight stools along a rail counter. Patrons can look forward to steamed dumplings made from house made dough, ginger-chicken, five-spice pork, cumin lamb, as well as a variety of vegetarian options. The shop will also offer various drinks such as cold-brew mint-green tea and other fun canned drinks.
