Tonari, which translates from Japanese to English as ‘neighbor’, has officially opened to the public. Coming from the team behind Daikaya, the new spot is entering uncharted territory and offering “wafu” style cuisine: Japanese-style Indian food. Guests are able to order dishes like pizzas topped with wakame seaweed and clams as well as pastas like the Spaghetti Napolitan which has sausage, mushrooms, and peppers all in a sweet ketchup sauce. Interestingly, Tonari’s dessert menu remains untouched and solely offers Italian classics; tiramisu, panna cotta, and chocolate budino.
