The brothers behind DC staple Peacock Cafe, Shahab Farivar and chef Maziar Farivar, have opened their latest venture: Vintage78. This new concept, named after the year that the Farivar brothers came to the US, offers guests a modern take on traditional Persian cuisine. The menu boasts dishes like Dolme (stuffed vegetables), Kufteh (meatballs), and an upscale spin on the traditional rice-and-kebab dish. This 3,000 square-foot location can seat up to 75 guests in the main dining area as well as 28 guests at the bar. In terms of interior design, Shahab Farivar and chef Maziar Farivar have mirrored the food through the decor; focusing on a homey yet modern atmosphere. www.vintage78dc.com
