The brothers behind DC staple Peacock Cafe, Shahab Farivar and chef Maziar Farivar, have recently announced their latest venture: Vintage78. This new concept, named after the year that the Farivar brothers came to the US, will offer guests a modern take on traditional Persian cuisine. The menu boasts dishes like Dolme (stuffed vegetables), Kufteh (meatballs), and an upscale spin on the traditional rice-and-kebab dish. This 3,000 square-foot location will seat up to 75 guests main dining area as well as 28 guests at the bar. In terms of the interior design, Shahab Farivar and chef Maziar Farivar want to mirror the food through the decor; focusing on a homey yet modern atmosphere.
