SIGN OF THE WHALE
1825 M Street NW
Sign of the Whale has just reopened, and is now under new ownership. The beloved meeting space and dive bar has undergone a renovation and emerged with a menu featuring Latin, Asian, and American influence. Helmed by the owners of Nero, Sign of the Whale's new interior boasts a chic, fully redesigned bar area. Currently, they're serving up a scaled back menu; featuring bar fare like truffle fries, deep fried shrimp, whale wings, and whale nachos. In terms of libations, Sign of the Whale is putting a twist on classic cocktails with the Sign, Melville's Manhattan, and The Old Sea King. www.thewhaledc.com. Photo Credit: Rey Lopez
