Afternoon Tea and Champagne at the St Regis in Washington DC

Afternoon Tea – Fairmont Georgetown's Modern Afternoon Tea has returned beginning Saturday, November 3rdfrom 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.  Ladies and gentlemen of all generations will enjoy this lovely tradition with a modern twist each Saturday and Sunday afternoon in the hotel’s Juniper Restaurant. Fairmont has partnered with Lot 35 Tea Company to offer a variety of herbal, black,  green and white teas including; Fairmont Washington, D.C.’s  Signature Winter Blend with cinnamon and clove, Organic Egyptian Chamomile, Something Sweet with cacao beans, coffee, caramel and chocolate, Organic Gold Jasmine Dragon and Organic Oregon Mint. Executive Chef Jordi Gallardo and his culinary team have created a savory and sweet tea fare; menu not served in the usual three-tiered silver tray, it’s presented in a two-tiered wood and slate bento box.  

Tea Anyone? – The Hay-Adams offers tea in an all-inclusive tableside presentation in one of the city’s most beautiful settings.  It is available exclusively on Sunday, December 2, 9, 16 and 23, with reservations available from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Lafayette Room. This indulgent experience, which includes an extensive tea selection from the Mighty Leaf Tea Company, a glass of Taittinger Champagne, and a tiered tray showcasing savory indulgences and sweet confections. 
Holiday Tea – In the spirit of the holiday season Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC  is celebrating with festive décor, culinary treats, relaxing spa treatments, and special visits from the North Pole. The halls are decked with holiday cheer featuring an edible replica of the neighboring Jefferson Memorial created by Executive Pastry Chef Christophe Frigara. The Holiday Tea set among a backdrop of seasonal décor and boasting multiple tiers of cakes, cookies, and savory treats for children and adults alike. Friday through Sunday, November 30 – December 23, 2018, 2:30 – 4:30 pm. The Holiday Tea will host special visitor Santa Claus on December 15, 16, 22, and 23. 

Holiday Afternoon Tea –  Oatlands is serving afternoon tea until Dec. 30. Tea will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the historic Carriage House. Attire for tea is casual. Tea includes an exclusive blend of black tea with calendula, scones, assorted tea sandwiches, and delicious sweets. Oatlands’ special tea blend is available for purchase in the gift shop. RodarTEA –The St. Regis has partnered with the Rodar art exhibition opening at the National Museum of Women in the Arts on November 10 and created a RodarTEA. The RodarTEA afternoon tea complements the fashion-forward exhibition, those with a taste for fashion begin with a taste of champagne the hotel lobby. Round-trip luxury transport will be provided to the museum and return to the hotel. Upon return to the St. Regis, guests will enjoy a non-traditional afternoon RodarTEA, featuring elaborate pastries inspired by the Rodarte fashion pieces. Beginning at the hotel at 11:45 a.m., the RodarTEA will be offered on the following Wednesdays when the Gallery Talk occurs: November 21, December 12, January 2, and February 6.  The exhibition runs from November 10 through February 10. Holiday Tea – Kick off the holiday season with afternoon tea offerings in Fyve Restaurant Lounge. Guests can enjoy fresh homemade scones, tea sandwiches, and pastry delights served with a wide selection of traditional teas and classic champagne cocktails, enhanced by the soothing sounds of a violinist.  Afternoon tea is offered every Thursday - Sunday from November 29 –December 16 and every Monday – Sunday from December 17 – 30 from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm. Tea Royal is $50 per person, and Table Fyve by Veuve Clicquot is $62 per person; $150 table fee, excluding tax and gratuity.
