Where We've Been: Salamander Resort, Middleburg

Turns out you don't need a week to reset, just the right 30 hours. I headed back to Salamander Resort in Middleburg, Sheila Johnson's Forbes Five-Star estate in Virginia horse and wine country, for a quick escape that somehow felt like a full-blown vacation. The room, the pool, dinner at Harrimans, a spa day, and a little detour into town for wine and coffee, I packed the whole reset into a single overnight, and I'm already plotting my way back.
