Listen up, it's the Fourth of July and this is OUR city's moment. We're talking the best fireworks views you'll find anywhere, the BBQ spots and supplies that will make you the hero of every backyard, and the restaurants and rooftops that are doing this holiday right. We've got every single thing you need for all the oohs and aahs.

Azure DC: This Independence Day, Versus is also the force behind the Azure Day Party, DC's premier weekly rooftop house-music day party experience, as it takes over Hi Lawn Rooftop at Union Market. From 2:00 - 11:00 p.m., the open-air rooftop venue fills with a world-class lineup of house-music DJs, fireworks lighting up the skyline, food vendors and craft cocktails. Balian Springs: Hate the crowds? Bring the crew out for a spa day at the region’s Self-Care Social Club, Balian Springs. With a newly renovated rooftop infinity pool, refreshed just in time for the season, the rooftop is a great place to spend the day. Bayou Bakery: Celebrate America’s 250th with an all-day brunch at Bayou Bakery where Chef David Guas highlights ingredients milled at George Washington’s historic Gristmill at Mount Vernon. dLeña: This Fourth of July weekend, dLeña will recognize the contributions of immigrants as an integral part of the hospitality industry and the broader American story. As part of its participation in the lead-up to America250, the restaurant will offer expanded brunch service to help create space for community gathering and reflection during the holiday weekend. Fairmont DC: Kick off America’s 250th birthday celebration with Red, White & BBQ at Fairmont DC on July 4 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Held in the hotel’s festive courtyard, the family-friendly event features an all-American barbecue spread, including Roseda Farm Black Angus sliders, half-smokes, New Orleanian gumbo, rockfish with mango salsa, deviled eggs, and more, plus patriotic desserts from Executive Pastry Chef Lyndsey Barton. Fiola: For one night, Fiola will transform into an elegant Italian summer picnic inspired by the coastal evenings I love most in Italy. Little Engine: Family takeout, lunch options or catering for your 4th of July party! Love, Makoto: Dear Sushi hosts its popular Sushi-Making Class, which sells out each month, on July Fourth at 2:00p.m. (The morning session is sold out.) While Dear Sushi’s all-you-can-eat weekend brunch takes place in the rest of Love, Makoto that Saturday, ticket-holders for the sushi-making class will gather in the restaurant’s private dining room for a hands-on lesson in making maki and hand rolls. Museum of Illusions DC: Museum of Illusions DC will debut a new immersive installation by internationally recognized artist Marwan Chamaa, opening July 4 and created exclusively for the museum in celebration ofAmerica’s 250th anniversary. Curated by DC-based artist and creative leader Lina Alattar, the exhibition will transform the museum through a large-scale mural and suspended artistic elementsexploring themes of freedom, unity, identity, and the evolving American story. The experience will extend into the museum’s Infinity Room with a flag-inspired installation, while additional artistic elements will appear throughout signature spaces including the Ames Room, creating a visually striking, museum-wide experience, offering a way for locals and visitors to engage with the America 250 moment in DC beyond more traditional commemorations. Namak: In celebration of the 4th of July, Namak is offering guests a Kebab Feast to-go available for pick up or delivery through Toast for $55 per person. The feast offers guests their choice of kebab, choice of spread, choice of meze, and side dishes. Namak recommends guests place orders for pickup or delivery by July 2nd. Neutral Ground Bar + Kitchen: Raise a glass to America’s 250th anniversary at Neutral Ground Bar + Kitchen, where Chef David Guas celebrates Independence Day with a special all-day brunch on July 4 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Inspired by George Washington’s legacy as both statesman and farmer, the menu showcases ingredients tied to the historic Mount Vernon Gristmill and reflects the spirit of gathering around the table. Medium Rare: As America approaches its 250th birthday, Cleveland Park restaurant Medium Rare has partnered with Feed the Fridge to launch a multi-market initiative to feed at least 250 food-insecure veteran and military families across the greater DFW area. Through July 4th, the Feed 250 Military Families campaign delivers restaurant-prepared meals funded entirely through donations, with $10 feeding one veteran or military member and $40 feeding an entire family.

PubKey: Just a 10-minute walk from the Mall and the ideal (air-conditioned) respite from the DC summer, PubKey, Penn Quarter’s popular, conversation-starting tavern, should definitely be on your list for pre-gaming before the fireworks this year. Tiffany’s Bar & Bistro: Celebrate July 4th with Tiffany's Bar & Bistro, the modern Mediterranean restaurant from husband-and-wife duo Chef Mehmet Sukutli and Malti Chaudhari.  Tiffany’s will offer Premium Mediterranean BBQ Kit, a ready-to-grill feast designed to serve 4–6 guests for $95. Crafted by Chef Sukutli, the kit features hand-butchered meats, wild-caught seafood, house-made marinades, and traditional Mediterranean flavors, prepared and ready for guests to grill at home. Each kit includes Sukutli’s grilling guide with cooking instructions, techniques, and serving suggestions. Unconventional Diner: Unconventional Diner’s Fourth of July Picnic is the perfect solution for BBQ potlucks or the conundrum of what to eat while watching the fireworks—whether sitting on the National Mall, on your friend’s rooftop or in your own back yard. The picnics cost $60, are intended to feed four, and are available for pre-order via Resy (link here). 

The Wharf: The Wharf is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a full week of festive programming along D.C.’s waterfront. From July 1 through July 5, guests can enjoy live country music, outdoor movies, country line dancing, waterfront dining, and spectacular views of the National Park Service’s fireworks display. 

Willard InterContinental Washington: Celebrate Independence Day at one of Washington’s most iconic addresses during the Fourth of July Ardbeg BBQ Tour & Block Party at the Willard InterContinental Washington. From 12:00 p.m. to midnight, the festivities take over the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and 14th Street with live barbecue from a custom-built Ardbeg smoker, all-American favorites, seasonal cocktails, live music from DJ Greg, and a family-friendly atmosphere just steps from the National Mall.
